Drinking water is crucial to a healthy life.  Not drinking enough water could lead to chronic dehydration and cause serious heart health issues.  

​Dehydration is a major factor in the initiation of heart disease; potentially starting with high blood pressure and/or high cholesterol.  Your blood should consist of 94% water.  When you do not drink enough water your blood thickens, slowing down blood flow and increasing cholesterol, using it as a plug to prevent water loss in your cells and, in turn, generating more fat.
 
It is suggested that everyone drinks half of their body weight in ounces of water each day.  This will keep your body hydrated, your blood flowing properly, and maintaining healthy oxygen and nutrient levels. 
Drinking your daily amount of water also helps to yield off minor illnesses, regulate your body temperature, and keep your joints lubricated and your mind focused.
